Jadwal The Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour 2016

Mariah Carey, the best-selling female artist of all time, akan kembali ke panggung Eropa musim semi tahun ini dengan mengusung The Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour!

Lagu Mimi yang paling fenomenal dengan penjualan terlaris di Eropa ya Fantasy ini (selain All I Want For Christmas Is You dan lagu daur ulang milik band asal UK “Badfinger”, Without You, pastinya).

Mariah Carey Will Tour Behind New Album, According To Jermaine Dupri

Mariah Carey’s closest collaborator,  producer and now co-manager Jermaine Dupri, understandably thinks that Mimi is the last of the great singers still regularly releasing albums.

We chatted with Dupri at the ASCAP Pop Awards Wednesday night. The video opens as we’re asking why she may be having a bit of a tough time taking off at radio, but he deflected us and explained that “The Art of Letting Go” was never an official single— it was meant to remind the fans what a great voice she has—when we were actually asking about “You’re Mine (Eternal),” which was released as an official single around Valentine’s Day. However, we both agree that Carey is one of the most successful artists ever.

“When I came in to help on the management side, I heard a lot of people saying they weren’t getting the Mariah Carey records they were used to. they weren’t getting the ballads. To this day, Celine Dion isn’t dropping records the way she used to and we lost Whitney Houston. There’s not really a person or people out there that’s putting this type of music out there. I feel like Mariah is that person.”

He reveals that Carey will be touring behind this album, which isn’t always a given with her.  He says “yes” when I asked if she was going on a full tour. Carey’s oft-delayed new album comes out May 6, although we don’t see it listed as a pre-order on Amazon, so we’re checking with the label and will keep you posted.

Dupri is working on new albums on Usher, Jagged Edge, and Bow Wow.

Mariah Carey Finishes Tour On High Note

The Telegraph

After a bumpy tour opener on the Gold Coast last week, Mariah Carey managed to cap her mini-Australian tour on a high when her final show in Melbourne received improved reviews. The 42-year-old diva, whose opening show was hampered by technical difficulties, appeared to make an extra effort on Saturday night, performing songs not previously included in her two prior shows and making attempts to endear herself to the 15,000-strong crowd – at one point claiming she had taken a liking to VB.

“I figured I had a little Vegemite last time (I was here), so I’d have a splash,” she told the crowd while holding up a can of Victoria’s famed brew. “I love Melbourne and it’s about time I came back.” Carey also showed her generous side, providing VIP fantasy packages for staff from her hotel, the Park Hyatt.

She added a song Fly Like A Bird, which she didn’t sing on the Gold Coast or in Sydney, and again introduced the audience to her 18-month-old twins Monroe and Moroccan. It followed varying reviews for her previous two shows, when critics called her first tour in 17 years everything from “spectacular” to “shallow”. Despite what appeared to be an attempt to make amends for the lacklustre response, fans still took to Facebook and Twitter following Saturday night’s closer in Melbourne, with many citing the limited set list.

“8 songs… unbelievable. Between my wife and I we paid over 60 dollars a song. Not impressed, really disappointed. Expected so much more,” wrote concert goer Joe Alessi. Another wrote: “Disappointing evening. She sang beautifully but I have never seen an artist leave the stage so many times.” But another added: “I was at Melb and Sydney shows and thought they were both amazing in their own way.”

The Megastar, Mariah Carey, takes the stage in Australia

MTV Australia

International superstar Mariah Carey graced the stage just before 10pm at Allphones Arena in Sydney at her sold out show last night on the second stop on her three stop tour of Australia after 15 long years. Towering in glittering stilettos wearing a white beaded mini dress, holding her sparkling microphone and flashing her pearly white smile, Mariah kicked off her performance with “Can’t Take That Away”, “Touch My Body”, and “Shake It Off”.

Every inch the diva, she fussily demanded her Victorian style chaise lounge be maneuvered into the right spot at the front of the stage before she awkwardly settled down in her figure hugging mini dress to sing “All My”. Changing into a glittery gold mini dress, she launched into “Emotions”, but didn’t quite hit those high notes the song is so well known for. As each verse built anticipation Carey pulled the microphone away leaving the crowd to sing.

The standout moment of the show was her perfect performance of “Always Be My Baby” which had the audience singing along and roaring for more. After a duet with backup singer Trey Lorenz of their 90s hit “I’ll Be There”, the vocal powerhouse changed into a glittering black mini dress to perform “Obsessed” and a crowd sing along to “Can’t Let Go”, during which she admitted “I don’t even know if I’m in the right key!”

Hitting her trademark high notes during “Don’t Forget About Us”, the crowd ate it up, and to make up for not bringing “dembabies” onstage like she did at the Gold Coast show two nights earlier, she instead welcomed a cute little six-year-old fan onstage who was also named Mariah.

After yet another costume change, the megastar returned to the stage, this time with some Vegemite in-hand – bravely eating some straight from the jar in honour of being back in Sydney. “Now if somebody doesn’t bring me a glass of champagne in 1.5 seconds everybody is fired,” she joked before performing the final song of the night, “Hero”.

Leaving out many of her 90s number ones like “Dreamlover”, “Fantasy”, “Heartbreaker”, and “Honey”, Carey returned onstage for an encore performance of “We Belong Together”. Playing up to her diva reputation, there were some debatably long interludes and forgettable costume changes – time which could have been better used onstage performing for the crowd who was so desperate to see their beloved MC.

But it’s not amazing choreography or high production value you’re going to see, it’s the larger than life personality, unique voice, and legend that is Mariah Carey.

Mariah Carey brings 6-year-old girl onstage at Australia concert

Aol Music

Mariah Carey brought a 6-year-old girl who shares her name onstage at a concert in Australia last night (January 3). Contact Music reports that after discovering that Mariah Cini would be attending her show in Sydney, the singer brought her namesake onstage as a special guest at her Allphones Arena concert.

When the “Fantasy” singer was on tour in the land down under in 1998 she met Chris Cini, who subsequently named his daughter after the pop star. Carey shared the spotlight with the young girl during a rendition of “Close Your Eyes”, which she also dedicated to her young fan.

Cini’s dad said he was thrilled that the “Glitter” star chose to honor his daughter and praised her generosity. “Mariah Carey is truly a beautiful, genuine person. She’s protective of her fans and she’s not above herself at all. I knew when we were having a baby girl that she would be my Mariah Grace,” he said.

Despite being only 6 years old, Mariah Cini also voiced her appreciation for the gesture, calling herself “the luckiest”. “I’m so excited because I finally get to meet my namesake. I’ve always liked her, from when I was born, basically… Dad always said if she came back to Australia we’d go to visit her and I couldn’t believe it. I know I’m one of the luckiest fans in Australia,” the child said.

Carey finishes her last of three shows in Sydney tonight (January 4) and will finish her current tour in Melbourne tomorrow night.

Audio Bermasalah, Mariah Carey ‘Protes’ Lewat Lagu di Sydney

Mariah Carey mengalami masalah teknis yang cukup menyulitkannya saat tampil di New Year’s Eve Australia.
